A recent patient at the IBS Treatment Center in Seattle.
Jennifer is a competitive dancer. She has IBS along with daily nausea and reflux.
Additionally, Jennifer was finding it more and more difficult to keep up with her love of dance because of her horrible symptoms. They just kept getting worse, to the point that her team couldn’t count on her to be able to perform. She often had to leave practice and go home early because dancing would make her symptoms even worse.
This not only affected Jennifer, but everyone else in her dance group as well. After all, she was responsible for the choreography and was the leader of her dance group.
Jennifer came to us because she could no longer tolerate the disruption to her life. She wanted to get back to doing the things that she loved, especially dance! She had been to many other doctors, had lots of test, and seen a highly respected gastroenterologist. However, they had all said the same thing, that she would have to live with this.
When we first saw Jennifer she was distraught. She told us that we were her last hope. But we had some good news for her.
We were confident that we’d be able to help her get back to her passion of dancing.
After only 2 months Jennifer feels dramatically different. She is already back enjoying her dance class and is once again leading her group in competitions. We are so thrilled to have been able to help her get her life back.
Way to go Jennifer!
