How I Remember To Take My Pills

If you’re like me, you often wonder, did I take that pill already?  Well, there is a super simple way to make sure that you at know the answer to that. It won’t cost you more than a minute or so per week, you don’t have to write anything down, and anyone can do it.

I realize that many of you are taking various supplements and medications, and doing your darndest to try to remember to take them.

That is a two-part problem. You have to remember to take them, and you have to remember if you already took them!

I’m fairly good at remembering to take things, but sometimes when I really want to remember things, I set any alarm. And you might want to set an alarm for every day of the week at the same times every day. Or you might just need to set out your pills so that you see them and are reminded to take them, which is kind’ve how I used to do it.

But recently the thing that I find more challenging is remembering whether or not I already took something. It’s like when you can’t find your keys.

Sometimes I’m moving so fast and thinking about too many things, and 20 minutes later I can’t remember. Or maybe my memory is getting bad. Either way, I found a simple solution.

I use a pill organizer like this, and there are even better ones for cheap on Amazon. I used to think that these were unnecessary and that I didn’t need one, but recently I’ve changed my mind.

Once a week I fill it up, and it only takes me a couple of minutes. Then, 2 or 3 times per day, depending on what you are taking how often you need to take it, you look in it.

If the pills for that day and time of day are gone from the appropriate box, then I know that I already took those pills. It’s super simple.

Not only do I generally remember to take them, but I can see right away whether or not I already took them. And it’s a living record of the times that I forgot, because those pills are still sitting there. And if it’s too late, I just leave them there and move on. Then I reuse them the next week.

But if you are taking something that is super critical to not forget, then I definitely suggest setting an alarm.

Most of you are probably already doing this, but I put a link here to a nice pill organizer on Amazon. I hope that you found this little pill taking tip helpful.
