So, what they’re talking about here is that some people have reported that eating macaroons or eating mounds, candy bars, have sometimes helped them and certainly hasn’t cured their problem. I’m sure, but it sometimes helps them. What is the common thread or theme and those two things? Well, they both have coconuts in them. And Coconut does have some nice properties that I’ll tell you a little bit about.
One of the things that happens in coconut is that coconut is a fatty acid called caprylic acid. And that fatty acid happens to have a lot of antimicrobial properties. So, it’s pretty good, actually killing a lot of bacteria or killing Candida. Now, the last thing you want to do to treat those things, if you’ve got a bacterial overgrowth, or Candida overgrowth is eating a candy bar or a cookie, to treat it, because you’re just it’s a double-edged sword, right, you’re getting sugar, along with the treatment, which is the last thing you want to do.
