Don’t Take Nystatin Liquid for Candida

Many of you have told me that your Nystatin isn’t working or that the Nystatin that you are taking doesn’t make any sense because it contains things contradictory to treating Candida. I can explain why that happens and what you can do about it.

I’ve been treating Candida successfully for so long that I completely forgot how much bad information there is out there, and that even when doctors are willing to recognize that you have Candida and are willing to treat it with Nystatin, they are usually doing it wrong.

Assuming that you truly do have a Candida overgrowth problem in your gut and that Nystatin is the right treatment for it (I have other videos on these Candida topics), the typical form of Nystatin used by most doctors is a really bad way to treat candida.

I completely forgot about this because I changed what I was doing decades ago, but the standard way that most doctors prescribe Nystatin is as a liquid suspension. That’s because they usually only use it for oral thrush, which is in the mouth. And usually when you treat Candida in the mouth you need it in liquid form.

However, Nystatin liquid suspension is full of sugar in order to make it taste better. Anyone who knows anything about Candida overgrowth in the gut, which I assume you do if you’ve been watching my videos, knows that the last thing that you want to do when you have Candida there is to ingest sugar.

Nystatin liquid suspension is made with sugar so that people will be more likely take it. Of course, the sugar is counteracting the Nystatin. Nystatin is killing the Candida, and the sugar is feeding the Candida. It’s a super dumb way to treat Candida, but the medical system has never been about doing the smart thing. It’s about doing the easy or profitable thing.

When you have Candida further down the digestive tract, which is super common but also almost completely unrecognized, then you have to swallow the liquid Nystatin suspension. That’s fine in theory, but it still has sugar. And in order to successfully treat Candida, you must avoid sugar.

So of course, the treatment may not work very well, even if you really do have Candida, and even if Nystatin would be a good treatment for it.

Fortunately, there are a variety of ways to get around this problem. You could take a product like our Candidacide, which is only available on our website at IBSTreatmentCenter.com, and is a great product for treating Candida. You probably need to take 2 capsules, twice a day, which is 4 capsules per day for the treatment to work well. Just keep in mind that like any good Candida treatment, you may very well go through a die off phase.  I also have videos on that.

It’s also worth knowing that Nystatin comes in forms other than the liquid suspension. Most doctors aren’t familiar with this, but it even comes in tablet form. I can’t tell you how much to take, because that varies a lot from person to person. But the good news is that the tablet form of Nystatin does not have sugar in it.

I would never recommend the liquid suspension form of Nystatin to anyone, because it’s a really dumb way to treat Candida, even though sometimes it works in spite of that.

So, I hope that you found this helpful. If so, please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel for more information on digestive and overall health.
